Established to support Giresun University’s quality policies and increase student participation in internal quality assurance processes, the Departmental Student Quality Commission is an initiative aimed at developing the university’s quality processes through a student-centered approach.

These commissions are formed with the active participation of students from different grade levels within each academic unit, ensuring that students embrace the unit’s quality culture and are involved in the processes. The commissions conduct activities aimed at increasing student satisfaction, identify shortcomings in educational processes, and support continuous improvement efforts.

Additionally, contributing to the university’s accreditation processes, evaluating student feedback, and enriching quality assurance efforts are among the commission’s primary responsibilities. The commission conducts activities in line with the annual objectives set forth, documents these activities, and presents them to the unit quality commissions.

The Unit Student Quality Commission enables students to contribute not only to educational processes but also to the university’s overall strategic planning and quality objectives. As a result, Giresun University’s quality policies are enriched through a student-centered approach and develop in a sustainable manner.
