Quality Plan

The Tirebolu Faculty of Communication conducts annual quality monitoring activities to systematically track and improve the quality of its education, research, and administrative processes. These activities are planned and implemented in accordance with the Giresun University Quality Assurance System and the evaluation criteria of YÖKAK (Higher Education Quality Council).

As part of the quality monitoring process, the faculty’s key performance indicators are identified; data related to these indicators are collected and evaluated at regular intervals, and the findings are incorporated into improvement processes. Monitoring activities are carried out in collaboration with the Unit Quality Commission and the Unit Student Quality Commission, and the results are shared with relevant academic and administrative units.

Our faculty focuses on the following key areas in the quality monitoring process:

Education and Teaching: The alignment of course programs with program outcomes, student achievement levels, the effectiveness of assessment and evaluation methods, and student satisfaction are regularly monitored.

Research and Social Contribution: Academic publications and project activities, participation in national and international events, and social contribution initiatives are tracked.

Management and Administrative Processes: The extent to which institutional goals are achieved, the effectiveness of resource utilization, and the functioning of internal control mechanisms are evaluated.

Stakeholder Feedback: Opinions and suggestions are gathered through surveys targeting students, alumni, employers, and other stakeholders; this feedback is systematically incorporated into quality improvement efforts.

All evaluations conducted within the quality assurance framework are reflected in unit self-assessment reports and improvement forms based on the PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) cycle. In this way, our faculty embraces the principle of continuous development and improvement as an institutional culture, grounded in a sustainable quality assurance approach.
