Giresun University’s Tirebolu Faculty of Communication bid farewell to its 2025–2026 academic year graduates with an awards ceremony.

At the end of the 2025–2026 academic year, an awards ceremony was held for students who achieved top honors at the Tirebolu Faculty of Communication. The ceremony was attended by our Faculty Dean, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Yağbasan, academic staff, and the top-performing students. During the ceremony, certificates of appreciation and various gifts were presented to students who earned top honors at the faculty and department levels. Speaking at the event, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Yağbasan congratulated the top-performing students and wished them continued success.

At the end of the 2025–2026 academic year, the top student in the faculty was Zeynep Gül from the Radio, Television, and Cinema Department; the second-place student was Esra Güley, also from the Radio, Television, and Cinema Department; and the third-place student was Ufuk Kekül from the Journalism Department.

In the departmental rankings, Zeynep Gül took first place, Esra Güley second, and Ayşe Yardımcı third in the Radio, Television, and Cinema Department; while in the Journalism Department, Ufuk Kekül took first place, Nilgün Sayar Kuruca second, and Sinem Kaya third. In the Public Relations and Publicity Department, Gülsün Yalçın took first place, Buse Okçu second, and Nergiz Melek Akar third.

After certificates of appreciation and gifts were presented to the award-winning students, Zeynep Gül, the Faculty Valedictorian for the 2025–2026 Academic Year, affixed a plaque bearing her name to the faculty valedictorians’ plaque.

The ceremony concluded with a commemorative photo taken to mark the occasion.
