Dear Students,

We are delighted that you have joined the family of Giresun University Faculty of Communication, and we wholeheartedly congratulate you on this new and important beginning in your university life.

University years are, without doubt, not merely a period for acquiring a profession. These years are a very special stage of life in which you will get to know yourself, form new friendships, encounter different ideas, question, research, and shape your future.

You are beginning your communication education in an era when communication technologies and the digital world are transforming our lives more and more each day. For this reason, one of our most important goals is to raise you not only as competent communicators in your field, but as individuals who think, question, research, produce, and carry social responsibility.

To help ensure that your first days at our Faculty are easier, more productive, and more enjoyable, we will hold an Orientation Program between September 28–30, 2026. Our first session will take place on Monday, September 28, 2026, at 12:30 PM, in the Merve Durmuş Amphitheater at our Faculty. In this program, you will get to know our Faculty and academic life more closely; learn about our education and training processes, departments and programs, and academic and social opportunities; and you will meet our Faculty's valued academic and administrative staff.

Remember that the Faculty of Communication is not just a place where classes are held; it is a learning and living space where ideas are freely discussed, curiosity is encouraged, and producing and sharing are valued.

We are always ready to support you on this journey and to share in your achievements.
