The main aim of the Department of Radio, Television and Cinema is to train contemporary and well-equipped communicators who are aware of the ethical values of the profession and society, who will have knowledge in areas such as economics, politics, social science as well as qualified professional knowledge trained in accordance with technological developments that can take part in all stages from planning to implementation in the fields of radio, television and cinema.

The curriculum of the department is designed to provide a theoretical-practical balance in order to train qualified manpower to meet the needs of both traditional methods and electronic media. In the radio and television studios, media and film workshops that are being established in our faculty, our students will have the opportunity for practical training by introducing them to production.


Students who graduate from this department will be able to work in newspapers, radio and television, news agencies and cinema sector, especially in the relevant units of public and private institutions. On the other hand, they will be able to improve themselves in the academic field by continuing their master's and doctoral programmes in the field of radio-television and cinema and find employment opportunities in universities.

The department started education in 2013-2014 academic year.
